FPT, Vietnam’s top technology company, has announced plans to construct a $200 million artificial intelligence (AI) factory, utilizing Nvidia’s graphics chips and software.

This strategic initiative aims to bolster AI research in Vietnam and develop innovative AI applications and solutions, including generative AI and autonomous driving. FPT also aims to establish factories in Vietnam as well as potential markets including Japan and South Korea.

In addition to the AI factory project, FPT and Nvidia have entered into a comprehensive strategic partnership aimed at fostering mutual growth and innovation in the tech sector. Hence, FPT aims to transform Vietnam into an AI hub through its collaboration with Nvidia in technology, business development and training.

Moreover, Nvidia seeks to expand its partnerships with Vietnam’s top tech firms and support the country in training talent for developing AI and digital infrastructure.

Nvidia has already invested over $250 million in Vietnam, signaling its long-term commitment to the country’s tech ecosystem.

FPT is the most valuable technology company on Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City bourse, with a market capitalization of $5.5 billion. The company offers a variety of AI, cloud and big data services. Last year, its total revenues exceeded $2 billion.
