Pakistan’s IT sector began fiscal year 2024-25 with a strong showing, as exports of IT services soared by 32.46 percent in July, reaching a record $297 million, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
This remarkable performance was driven primarily by the computer services sector, which experienced a 23.09 percent growth, hitting $230.750 million.Â
Within this segment, software consultancy services saw a significant surge, increasing by 24.53 percent to reach $77.262 million.

While information services and some areas within computer services experienced declines, the robust growth in telecommunication services, particularly call center services (up 49.55 percent to $25.442 million) and other telecommunication services (up 113.74 percent to $41.468 million), further contributed to the sector’s overall positive momentum.
These figures point to a promising start for Pakistan’s IT industry in the new fiscal year, suggesting potential for continued growth and expansion in the global market.
