From the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center within northern Shanxi province China managed to launch its new satellite Tianping-3A 02 into orbital space. China successfully launched a Long March-6 carrier rocket from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center using a Beijing time (02:12 GMT) appointment at 10:12 a.m. that represented a major achievement for Chinese space exploration.

Tianping-3A 02 satellite exists to support radar ground equipment calibration and radar cross-section monitoring as its main functions. This mission carries out two main responsibilities but also enables imaging tests of ground-based optics and observes the characteristics of the lower orbital space environment. The satellite serves to measure atmospheric space environmental elements and supports the improvement of orbital prediction models. The mission represents an important milestone as it constitutes the 568th launch of a Long March rocket from this series signaling China’s continuous pursuit of space technology advancement.
