The world is counting down to the opening of the 28th session of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28), which will take place imminently in Expo Dubai. This milestone Conference of the Parties will feature the results of the first global stocktake. It enables nations to see where they are collectively making progress towards meeting the goals of the Paris Agreement and identifying the gaps. Now more than ever, the future of our planet is at the top of agendas as governments, organizations, and industries. They are racing to ensure robust plans are in place to reach Net Zero by 2050.
The Museum of the Future
The Museum of the Future is committed to supporting the country’s efforts to host COP28 during the UAE’s Year of Sustainability. We were proud to welcome around 6,300 delegates, speakers, and guests. This includes government ministers, sustainability thought-leaders, environmental experts, and entrepreneurs. Moreover, we hosted the first ever ‘Climate Future Week’ which took place last September.
The event was hosted in collaboration with Fiker Institute and saw government ministers, international climate experts, and global thought leaders. Furthermore, it welcomed pioneers and academics to take to the stage to discuss future-forward solutions to combat climate change. They addressed biodiversity loss and looked at the ways we can all make an impact.
Climate Future Week
Climate Future Week was a significant platform for exchanging best practices and discussing advanced solutions. Meanwhile, it empowers businesses, entrepreneurs, and individual communities to take action.
We need to work collaboratively to achieve our collective goal of combatting climate change. Events that catalyze awareness, drive climate action, and involve everyone, not just the environmental players, are essential. For example, events like Climate Future Week have the power to cultivate forward-thinking discussions and inspire environmental stewardship. However, there is still so much more to be done to help drive a brighter future, ensuring that no one is left behind.

At the Museum of the Future, we are committed to designing an optimistic future, one where hope gains the upper hand. We believe everyone can help support climate future. From the way we travel to the energy we use and the food we consume, we can all do our part in creating a better tomorrow.
Thanks to the unwavering support of our local, regional, and international partners, the Museum of the Future enables our community to dive deep into scientific and technical research. It allows us to explore emerging trends, conduct experiments, and design new future-forward solutions. These new innovative platforms span sectors as diverse as smart cities and healthcare technology. Moreover, the platforms include renewable energy, waste management, and environmental platforms. Together, these will all help build a more sustainable future.
The future of our planet requires immediate attention and limitless ambition. At the museum, our aim is to make climate resilience our shared interest and inspire new partnerships that support collective action.
